Scope and Objectives

Our main objective is to help foster a greater awareness and application of environmental best practices at all levels of the daily operations in all government offices.

In order to achieve this, we have developed a scheme to serve as a guidance tool, a performance-assessment tool and an award tool.

The scheme will reach all levels of management and operational staff through various communication channels including the internet, management/employee training courses, and on-site and off-site assistance. In order to ensure continuous improvement of the scheme itself, with the objective of promoting such a concept amongst the scheme participants, the Green Office Scheme, and the information and tools it provides, will be maintained up-to-date and as accurate as possible through analysis, user-feedback and regular revisions.

The Green Office Scheme will be available to each and every single government building which houses offices. The expanse of this requires utilising existing resources from other agencies, in particular, but not limited to the Staff Development Organisation and Wasteserve. In pursuit of this, synergies will be developed to reach this goal.
